Echoes of Corals, Faceted Olive Porcelain Ring with Textture
This sculptural ring pairs geometry with organic texture: one side is faceted like cut stone, the other overgrown with a crown of coral-like porcelain. The body is a muted olive green—earthy and soft—evoking the subdued palette of submerged stones or moss-covered reefs.
The piece is hand-sculpted from pigmented Limoges porcelain and left unglazed, allowing the natural clay surface to remain tactile and matte. The coral-textured crown is deeply porous, recalling fossil formations, bleached coral, or eroded limestone.
The ring is fired twice. After shaping and bisque, it undergoes vitrification at cone 10 (2,350°F / 1,288°C), transforming into a durable, non-porous material with a dry, stone-like finish.
Non-metal and lightweight, it can be worn by anyone, including those with metal sensitivities.
This piece is part of a small series of sculptural rings inspired by coral ecosystems. You can read more about the collection here -a journal entry about the sea, Elba, and the memory behind these shapes.

Your porcelain ring is crafted from dense, high-fire porcelain and it is remarkably strong, but it’s important to avoid impact with hard surfaces.
