Echoes of Corals, Red Porcelain Ring with White Texture

$68.00
Sold Out

This contemporary ring reinterprets the tradition of signet rings through the lens of modern ceramics, with a design that recalls both ancient seals and oceanic coral formations. Inspired by warming seas and fragile ecosystems, it becomes a wearable echo of underwater life—both resilient and endangered.

The piece is hand-sculpted from white Limoges porcelain, featuring an intricate carved surface pattern set against a deep red underglaze background. The sculptural contrast between the textured white surface and the rich red base creates a visual dialogue between positive and negative space.

The creation process involves two firing cycles. The red underglaze is applied before the porcelain undergoes its final vitrification at cone 10 (2,350°F/1,288°C), transforming into a durable, non-porous material while preserving the delicate details of the carved pattern.

Non-metal and lightweight, it can be worn by anyone, including those with metal sensitivities.

This piece is part of a small series of sculptural rings inspired by coral ecosystems. You can read more about the collection here -a journal entry about the sea, Elba, and the memory behind these shapes.

  • Each ring is handcrafted and unique, making it essential to find your perfect fit. Use a ring you already wear comfortably or measure your finger with a strip of paper, marking where it overlaps. Measure this length in millimeters and compare it to this size chart:

    Size 6 -51.9mm, Size 7 -54.4mm , Size 7.5 -55.7mm, Size 7 ¾ -56.3mm, Size 8 -57mm Size 8.5 -58.3mm, Size 9 -59.5mm, Size 9.5 -60.8mm

For the most accurate measurement, size your finger in the evening and avoid measuring when your hands are cold.

  • All orders are shipped via USPS and will be processed and shipped from the studio within 1 week. Please e-mail if you need anything sooner.
