ITALIAN CRAFTSMANSHIP, BROOKLYN MADE
I'm Marianna, an Italian ceramicist based in Brooklyn, NY.
I moved here from Italy — for love, as these things go — and trained as a professional chef. I worked in one of the city's Michelin-starred kitchens, and started making porcelain ceramics to present my own recipes. One thing led to another.
Today I run Argilla NYC, a ceramics studio in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn — and a second studio that is taking shape on the island of Elba, in Tuscany.
